A few of the more notable performers are Cowboy Mouth, Sister Hazel and JJ Grey & Mofro. An occasional comedy night and vinyl night are offered as well. And if none of those things interest you, you can always just play a game of pool with your buddy from your Charleston apartment complex.
When you've had your first beer from their wide selection or a cocktail and are ready to eat, Windjammer has a perfect beach menu. It features appetizers like fried pickles and red chili poppers, burgers and a country fried steak sandwich, as well as Alaskan snow crab legs and a fried shrimp basket. There's usually a cover, so be prepared to pay $5 to $10 bucks. It's usually when there's a band, and you may not get hit up for the dough until you've been there for a bit, or not at all. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere.
